The Online Casino Gambling Act 2026 came into force on 1 May 2026, paving the way for up to 15 online casino gambling providers to be licenced in New Zealand for the first time.


In this episode we're joined by Trina Lowry, Programme Director Online Gambling Implementation and Vicki Scott, Director Gambling to talk through how and why New Zealand is moving to regulate online casino gambling, as well as the approach for doing so and what lies ahead.
