Refreshing Pod - Jennifer Jane (Fringe 2026)
Refreshing Pod - Fringe 2026: Jennifer Jane
Fringe Fever is set to take over Edinburgh once again, officially running from 7th - 31st August 2026.
From electrifying hard relationships, doing naked photoshoots, appearing on Shark Tank with her brother and securing a $400,000 investment, Jennifer has achieved so much, and she's not done yet.
In her Fringe Festival debut, have some 'Happy Tea' with her.
Her first full time show is a wildly honest, comedic, and totally unfiltered one-woman storytelling show. Equal parts heart and chaos. It dives headfirst into relationships, the rollercoaster of being a caregiver, and the utter madness of making the multi-award winning documentary, Charged, under very unique circumstances.
But, ultimately, 'Happy Tea' is a feel good show & has many surprising elements, like how it's a benefit sleeping in an elk, and the bizarre moments of being egged on by a ghost sperm.
Outside of Jennifer's career in stand up, and writing, she's appeared in front of millions via ABC in the USA on Shark Tank helping propel her part owned food business 'Proper Good Food' into first gear.
Johnny also has a laugh about how many times Jennifer likes to get naked, working with her Edinburgh director Stuart Laws (a previous Refreshing Podcast guest himself) & a brief chat about testicles.
Enjoy this fascinating listen!

7. Refreshing Pod - SaturdaysMornings.co.uk
54:10||Season 9, Ep. 7Refreshing Pod - SaturdayMornings.co.ukSaturday Morning Kids TV was a staple on BBC One for decades, from it's beginnings in the shape of 'Saturday Swap Shop', to 'Live & Kicking', 'Dick & Dom in The Bungalow' & so much more! This October, it’s been 50 years since the Saturday Morning schedule changed forever, with the introduction of 'Swap Swap', which launched on the 2nd October 1976.The time slot from 9am - midday featured many presenters, using the BBC’s own talent at Radio One, like Noel Edmunds and Mike Read, using children's TV veterans like John Craven & Sarah Greene host, plus helping launch the career of Caroline Flack & Fearne Cotton, and catapult the likes of Emma Forbes, Andi Peters, Zoe Ball & Jamie Theakston into superstardom. Most recently from 2017 the 'Saturday Mash Up' on the CBBC Channel is the closet thing to the old skool programming from the past, and it remains to be seen if the BBC have any plans to celebrate this milestone in it’s 50 year on any channel. Johnny speaks to Saturday Morning Super-fan Martin Whale, who’s website SaturdaysMornings.CO.UK is a Mecca for all things broadcast since October 1976 … It’s live and kicking right now, with a good old chin wag including those shows that were on in the summer holidays, and plenty of nostalgia guaranteed. You can Listen via the link in our bio."Miss It, Miss Out"Follow Martin's mecca for all things Saturday Mornings via:WWW: www.saturdaymornings.co.ukYT: satmorningsINSTA: saturdaymorningsukFB: Saturday MorningsRefreshing Pod is a magazine style podcast, giving you ideas, interviews, big name guests, and guaranteed laughs along the way, with new content every few weeks, now in it's 9th series.(C) BBC (used under fair licence) Images/Video/Final Production TX.Music (C) Dave Arnold / Remasted By Ste / Mich Johnson VO.Saturdaymornings.co.uk (Website Images & Archive + social Media Content).
6. Refreshing Pod - Selina Mosinski
26:25||Season 9, Ep. 6Refreshing Pod - Selina Mosinski (Fringe Festival 2026 Exclusive) A different view for Charity Shop Sue. Fringe Festival 2026 brings a new character from Selina Mosinski, in her debut Edinburgh Festival appearance with a show called 'Puss in Boots, A Working Class Fairytale' live at the Pleasance. It gives a view of what life was like for Selina during the 1990's when she was a stripper (for 5 years) under the name of Randy Cain.Experience the glittering page-three dreams and sticky-carpet ambition of Britain's 90s strip club scene. In her debut character comedy hour, Selina Mosinski, known for playing the icon that is Charity Shop Sue, tells the (mostly true) rise-and-stumble story of her time as stripper Randy Cain. Part confessional memoir, part riotous character comedy, join an ambitious working-class girl from Derby on a mission to conquer it all, or at least Tony and Barbara’s Midlands “Titty Bar.” Determined to chase stardom, Randy hitchhikes to London — only to be derailed by an audition at a working men’s club off the A52, where prestige looks suspiciously like a birdcage stage surrounded by dodgy hen dos dressed as Papa Smurf. She lands the gig, and with it, her first taste of show business, sticky floors, chaotic crowds, and dreams held together with body glitter. The show captures a decade when celebrity culture was gloriously unfiltered — when Jodie Marsh turned underwear into headlines, Gail Porter was projected onto Big Ben, and Monica Lewinsky became global news thanks to Bill Clinton. It was also the boom era of Britain’s strip-club circuit — and Randy was right in the thick of it.Narrated by Randy’s formidable mum Jackie (Derbyshire’s answer to Bet Lynch from Corrie) — this is a raucous, tender story of ambition, class, and carving out a spotlight when the world insists you belong in the wings.Johnny ends his interview with a brilliant '90's This Or That' game! .. Time to reminisce.Today (1st April) 1,730 shows have been added for for this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe, bringing the current total number on sale for 2026 to 2,083 .. and counting.
