Steph Claire Smith is a force. Through her business KIC, and her own personal platform, she reaches millions of people every month. And while she may be a star, as those that follow her online will know, she keeps it real. She’s not performing for her community, she’s interacting with them. And while so much beauty and connection comes with that, there’s of course, a dark side that joins it too. There’s unsolicited advice and opinions, and as Steph has learned in the years since becoming a mum, there’s plenty of mum shaming, too. So, I wanted to know, how does she feel when the trolls tell her she should be at home with her boy instead of working? How does she drown out the noise? In this generous conversation, we cover this and so much more – we talk about how ADHD has shown up for her as a mum, how she navigates business with her co-founder Laura Henshaw, what it’s like to be the primary breadwinner, how she’s preparing for baby two, and how she avoids bounce back culture.

She’s just real.She’s real about how much her first birth impacted the earlier days of her mothering journey. She’s honest when it comes to recalling the lonely experience of being the first in the group to have a baby, and she won’t gaslight you when it comes to answering the “how do you do it all?” question.
