When someone has been deemed too dangerous to be part of society, they are sent to prison. When the news cycle forgets about them, Prison Officers can’t, having to deal with these people face to face on a daily basis. We tell the stories of what really happens behind the walls of a prison.&nbsp;

Maitland Gaol holds the record of the longest serving Prison in Australia, having been in continual use for 150 years.&nbsp;In this Episode, we expose the never before told stories of life in one of Australia’s hardest prisons.

Opened in 1909, the notorious Long Bay Prison Complex has 6 prisons on site housing over 1200 inmates. With so many inmates living there, it is more like a city than a gaol. Over it's long history it has housed the State’s most infamous inmates. We tell the stories you've never heard before...from those that were there!

The Long Bay Episode

In the 1970’s, Australia opened it’s first ‘Supermax’ Prison. Designed to deprive inmates of any sense of the outside world, it was described by it’s detractors as an ‘electronic zoo’. Conditions were atrocious. Prisoners hated it, and Prison Officers loved it.
