2 Fast 2 Fatherless

Season 2, Ep. 45

In this episode, Ken and Kiki revisit the first two entries in the Fast & Furious franchise: The Fast and the Furious and 2 Fast 2 Furious. Having originally seen both films in theaters (and please don't use that information to deduce their ages), they take a fresh look at the movies that launched one of Hollywood's most improbable long-running plot lines.

Like the films themselves, this podcast isn't aiming for Oscars. Buckle up and join Ken and Kiki as they recap their rewatch, marvel at the franchise's humble beginnings, and demonstrate absolutely no consistency when referring to characters by either their names or the actors who play them. Family may be forever, but naming conventions are apparently optional.

  • 38. Standards so high, patience so low

    57:08||Season 2, Ep. 38
    This week, Kiki recaps her Kentucky trip—think no diversity, too many layovers, paper straws, and vibes that can only be described as surprising (derogatory). Ken and Kiki also unpack their highly specific standards for life’s smallest details, from wedge salad presentation to acceptable wine glasses to drink from, and why saying what you want actually works.Ken treats herself to a first-class upgrade (as she should), prompting a “what would Rihanna do” spiral, while Kiki deep dives into the madness that her mental methods create. The two reflect on their aggressively West Coast accents, their ruthlessly loving family dynamic, and why absolutely nothing is ever let go and no one will ever be safe.Plus: Ken’s Disney/Marvel phase, Kiki’s unshakable hypothetical dilemma (and her strategic reversal), the ultimate act of love (getting a new nail tech), and a shared conclusion that HBO Max might just be the worst.
