40 years ago Thursday -- March 18, 1981 -- former Red Sox catcher and future Hall of Famer Carlton "Pudge" Fisk inked a five-year, $3 million contract with the Chicago White Sox after spending the first 11 years of his major-league career in Boston. BloggingtheRedSox.com's Brendan Campbell looks back at that moment in Red Sox history and reflects on what Fisk went on to accomplish on the South Side of Chicago before calling it a career in 1993.
