On our very first episode of our podcast (but not our first rodeo in terms of SATC or gossiping on a podcast) we discuss the Pilot episode of Sex and the City. It screams 1998, but it still maintains a certain charm and grit that is missing from so many pilots that have failed to stand the test of time. On this episode, we meet Carrie who will NOT stop talking breaking the fourth wall! Its called professionalism Carrie jeez! But seriously, this Pilot gives us some great character establishment, and we meet most of the characters who are going to take us through the entire series. Carrie wonders if she can have sex with no feeling, and meets Mr. Big (Chris Noth, infamous "rude to servers" New Yorker). Miranda goes on a date with Skipper (remember that guy?), and Samantha enters into a late 1980's porn video. Charlotte looks at a painting. Enjoy!!!

Carrie is left scrambling to come up with $30k for a down payment and she has about ten minutes to do so (thanks so much, Aiden!). Samantha perfectly manipultes an "I Love You" out of Richard, which we already know is beginning the snowball into Hell. Samantha continues to spiral over Richard, Miranda feigns excitement about having a boy, and Charlotte takes a tap class with the lead actor from Hadestown.
