You’ve arrived at one of my favorite sections of scripture. As the Apostle Paul systematically chopped away at the lies being spread by those who believed Christians should follow the Law of Moses, he explained the purpose of the Law and described its necessary role as a guardian. But he did not stop there. He continued, stating the Law was like slavery. In am a manner of speaking, the Law imprisoned people. Jesus was the fulfilment of the Law and brought about a whole new covenant with people. If you’ve embraced a works-based theology, you’ll either really struggle with this message or you’ll be set free!
