روایت اپیزود و مرز میان اندیشه و فاجعه
تصور کنید در دادگاهی بینالمللی نشستهاید؛ جایی که در میان انبوهی از نظامیان شقورق و سیاستمداران عالیرتبه با
اتهامات سنگین جنایت جنگی، مردی با پیراهن چروک آبی روشن و دمپایی چوبی سنتی نشسته است. ناگهان این مرد خم
میشود و با دست محکم میزند به سر کچل ژنرال هیدکی توجو، نخستوزیر وقت ژاپن! این تصویر عجیب و
تکاندهنده در بهار ۱۹۴۶ در توکیوی ویرانشده، تنها آغاز ماجرایی خیرهکننده است درباره کسی که شاید هیچ گلولهای
شلیک نکرد، اما بنای فکری یک فاجعه عظیم را بنا کرد.
اجرای زنده پادکست پرسه در ۱۹ تیر ماه ۱۴۰۵ در اِیتپلت (مجموعهی آواپلت)، دعوتی است به تماشای یکی از
تاریکترین و چالشبرانگیزترین پرسشهای تاریخ و فلسفه: آیا متفکری که ایدئولوژی یک جنگ یا فاجعه را
میسازد، به اندازه آنکه ماشه را میکشد در پیشگاه عدالت مسئول است؟
مسیر شومئی اوکاوا از پسری مشتاق در دوران گذار ژاپن به مدرنیته (عصر میجی) آغاز میشود؛ کسی که با خواندن
آثار مربوط به استعمار فاجعهبار بریتانیا در هند، فریاد رهاییبخش «آسیا برای آسیاییها» را سر داد. اما این نقد برحق
علیه استعمار غرب، به مرور در چرخهای از رادیکالیسم، پناه دادن به انقلابیون تبعیدی و توجیه نظری حملات نظامی و
کودتاها، به ایدئولوژی خطرناک سلطه ژاپن تبدیل شد. هنگامی که دادگاه نورنبرگ با محکوم کردن یولیوس استرایکر
(ناشر نفرتپراکن) برای نخستین بار کلمات را به صورت حقوقی به عنوان سلاح شناخت. پرونده اوکاوا ابعاد
پیچیدهتری به خود گرفت؛ بهویژه وقتی قاضی رادهابینود پال در رأی اقلیت تاریخی خود، استانداردهای دوگانه
قدرتهای فاتح را به چالش کشید.
اما معمای این پرونده زمانی به اوج میرسد که معاینات پزشکی عصبشناس دادستانی (سرگرد دانیل جیف)، ابتلای
اوکاوا به سفلیس عصبی مرحله سه و تخریب قشر پیشانی مغز او را تأیید میکند. آیا تفکری که منجر به فاجعه شد
محصول مغز سالم یک فیلسوف بود یا تخریب تدریجی نورونها توسط باکتری؟ اوکاوا پس از خروج از دادگاه و سالها
بعد، عمر خود را صرف ترجمه دقیق قرآن و اتحاد ادیان کرد تا در ۲۴ دسامبر ۱۹۵۷ در میان سایه سنگین میراث
فکریاش درگذرد. این اپیزود پرسه، روایتی کاوشگرانه از تقاطع تاریک جنون، اندیشه و مسئولیت انسانی است.
