● عنوان اپیزود: مرز باریک میان اندیشه و فاجعه (روایت شومئی اوکاوا و دادگاه توکیو)● تاریخ اجرا: ۱۹ تیر ماه ۱۴۰۵● محل اجرا: اِیت‌پلت (مجموعه‌ی آواپلت)روایت اپیزود و مرز میان اندیشه و فاجعهتصور کنید در دادگاهی بین‌المللی نشسته‌اید؛ جایی که در میان انبوهی از نظامیان شق‌ورق و سیاستمداران عالی‌رتبه بااتهامات سنگین جنایت جنگی، مردی با پیراهن چروک آبی روشن و دمپایی چوبی سنتی نشسته است. ناگهان این مرد خممی‌شود و با دست محکم می‌زند به سر کچل ژنرال هیدکی توجو، نخست‌وزیر وقت ژاپن! این تصویر عجیب وتکان‌دهنده در بهار ۱۹۴۶ در توکیوی ویران‌شده، تنها آغاز ماجرایی خیره‌کننده است درباره کسی که شاید هیچ گلوله‌ایشلیک نکرد، اما بنای فکری یک فاجعه عظیم را بنا کرد.اجرای زنده پادکست پرسه در ۱۹ تیر ماه ۱۴۰۵ در اِیت‌پلت (مجموعه‌ی آواپلت)، دعوتی است به تماشای یکی ازتاریک‌ترین و چالش‌برانگیزترین پرسش‌های تاریخ و فلسفه: آیا متفکری که ایدئولوژی یک جنگ یا فاجعه رامی‌سازد، به اندازه آن‌که ماشه را می‌کشد در پیشگاه عدالت مسئول است؟مسیر شومئی اوکاوا از پسری مشتاق در دوران گذار ژاپن به مدرنیته (عصر میجی) آغاز می‌شود؛ کسی که با خواندنآثار مربوط به استعمار فاجعه‌بار بریتانیا در هند، فریاد رهایی‌بخش «آسیا برای آسیایی‌ها» را سر داد. اما این نقد برحقعلیه استعمار غرب، به مرور در چرخه‌ای از رادیکالیسم، پناه دادن به انقلابیون تبعیدی و توجیه نظری حملات نظامی وکودتاها، به ایدئولوژی خطرناک سلطه ژاپن تبدیل شد. هنگامی که دادگاه نورنبرگ با محکوم کردن یولیوس استرایکر(ناشر نفرت‌پراکن) برای نخستین بار کلمات را به صورت حقوقی به عنوان سلاح شناخت. پرونده اوکاوا ابعادپیچیده‌تری به خود گرفت؛ به‌ویژه وقتی قاضی رادهابینود پال در رأی اقلیت تاریخی خود، استانداردهای دوگانهقدرت‌های فاتح را به چالش کشید.اما معمای این پرونده زمانی به اوج می‌رسد که معاینات پزشکی عصب‌شناس دادستانی (سرگرد دانیل جیف)، ابتلایاوکاوا به سفلیس عصبی مرحله سه و تخریب قشر پیشانی مغز او را تأیید می‌کند. آیا تفکری که منجر به فاجعه شدمحصول مغز سالم یک فیلسوف بود یا تخریب تدریجی نورون‌ها توسط باکتری؟ اوکاوا پس از خروج از دادگاه و سال‌هابعد، عمر خود را صرف ترجمه دقیق قرآن و اتحاد ادیان کرد تا در ۲۴ دسامبر ۱۹۵۷ در میان سایه سنگین میراثفکری‌اش درگذرد. این اپیزود پرسه، روایتی کاوشگرانه از تقاطع تاریک جنون، اندیشه و مسئولیت انسانی است.منابع این اپیزود:A Curious Madness - Eric JaffeNuremberg: Infamy On Trial - Joseph E.
