Oregon State Lands Edge Rusher Metzner
•
Oregon State football secured a major win on National Signing Day with the commitment of three-star edge rusher Caleb Metzner, who previously committed to South Alabama. Metzner, a six-foot-two, 215-pound senior from Cottage Hill Christian Academy in Mobile, Alabama, is ranked as the 172nd edge rusher nationally and the 12th player in Alabama. His impressive senior year statistics, including 24.5 sacks, caught the attention of several programs, including Alabama. The signing was celebrated by prospective OSU football general manager Eron Hodges, who called Metzner special and an elite player. This positive development comes after a minor setback, as Oregon State lost the commitment of three-star running back Braylon Toliver earlier in the week. With Metzners signing, Oregon State currently has seven verbal commits and continues to build its roster with talent from across the country.
