While there's no doubt that Bouchard didn't play well against the Rangers, being too concerned about him this early in the year probably doesn't make sense either. That said, he definitely needs to play better given the minutes he commands, and it will be interesting to see if he faces any supplementary discipline like Darnell Nurse did a couple nights before. Continuing with the breakdown of the last few games for Edmonton, the Oilers blew a two-goal lead against the Rangers on Thursday, which was incredibly disappointing and frustrating given how they had dominated the game early. In the span of just under four minutes, the Oilers went from being up by two goals to being in a tie game. Even with a late power play opportunity, the boys couldn't get the job done.
