On today’s episode of Oilersnation Everyday, Tyler and Liam recap last night’s 6–4 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins in a game packed with storylines from start to finish.
Leon Draisaitl hit a massive career milestone, recording his 1,000th NHL point in the first period, with the entire Oilers bench clearing to celebrate in front of former teammate Stuart Skinner. The party didn’t stop there, as Edmonton’s power play went 3-for-4 on the night while holding the league’s top-ranked Penguins power play to just 1-for-6.
It was also a true goalie revenge game, with Tristan Jarry and Stuart Skinner facing their former teams just four days after the blockbuster trade. Jarry was steady once again, earning his second win in an Oilers jersey, while Skinner struggled at the other end, finishing the night with a .773 save percentage.
