The Edmonton Oilers dropped a tough one last night, falling 5-4 to the Dallas Stars in a game full of injury scares. Zach Hyman left in the second period but managed to return, Evan Bouchard took a puck to the leg but also came back, and Stuart Skinner was forced to leave after a collision with Mikko Rantanen and did not return. Despite missing both Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, the Oilers put up a strong fight, dominating the first period with a 14-5 shot advantage. However, things unraveled in the second, as Jason Robertson recorded a natural hat trick to put Dallas in control. Edmonton didn’t quit, though, mounting a furious third-period comeback with three unanswered goals but ultimately falling just short.
