A big win over the Blues & Colby Cohen joins the show

Season 2, Ep. 338

The Edmonton Oilers did not make it easy on themselves last night versus the St Louis Blues. Despite that, they managed to come away with a 3-2 overtime win to move within a point of the Vegas Golden Knights in the Pacific Division.

Goals from Robert Thomas and Pavel Buchnevich gave the Blues a 2-0 lead early in the game. However, the Oilers managed to battle back thanks to two goals from Zach Hyman. The Oilers forward moved his goal tally up to 40 after his performance last night for the first time in his career. Nothing was solved after 60 minutes extending the game and then Connor McDavid, known more for his passing, finished off the game ending a ten game goalless draught.

Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin gave live on the Oilersnation YouTube for Oilersnation Everyday at noon. If you have something you would like to contribute to the conversation, leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Charm Diamond Centre YouTube live chat. Your input is welcomes throughout the show.

Later in the show, former professional hockey player Colby Cohen from Morning Cuppa Hockey joins the show. With Colby, they'll chat about the Chris Tanev trade and the extension coming Elias Pettersson's way in Vancouver. Additionally, the three of them will talk about possibly options for the Oilers now that Tanev is off the board.

Also on the show, you can expect the Douglas Mattress moment of the game, the Sherwood Ford GIANT question and what to pick in the Wendy's Daily Faceoff Survivor Pool for that.
