The Edmonton Oilers are back in action with two pre-season games under their belts. However, they have not won a game yet. Is it time to hit the panic button? Should Ken Holland consider different options before the start of the season?! The answer is no. It is pre-season hockey people! Just enjoy having NHL action back on your TV's


On today's show, Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will give a quick review of what went down in those two games. With few spots to fight for on the NHL roster, only a handful of players have much to play for during this time. Raphael Lavoie is one of them players but how has he been doing? Give Tyler and Liam your thoughts on Lavoie during the show over on the Oilersnation YouTube live chat. 


Also on the show, the guys will go around the NHL and discuss what's been happening, especially with those two games that happened in Australia over the weekend.

    The Edmonton Oilers are back on the ice tonight to take on the Arizona Coyotes at Rogers Place. However, Connor McDavid likely won't play again after missing the game on Wednesday in a 5-1 win over the Vegas Golden Knights. Despite possibly missing tonight's game, there is still a chance fans see him on Saturday versus the Vancouver Canucks. Tonights game is the Yotes fourth of a five game round trip around Western Canadian and California. On Wednesday, Dylan Guenther lead the way in a 4-3 overtime for Arizona versus the Canucks. The former Edmonton Oil King finished the night with four points including an assist on Logan Cooley's overtime winner. Later in the program, former Edmonton Oilers forward Luke Gazdic joins the show at 12:20. With Luke, the guys will talk about Wednesday's impressive 5-1 win over Vegas without McDavid and how he thing the team adapted without him.     The Edmonton Oilers took care of business last night despite Connor McDavid missing from there lineup. The Oilers defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 5-1 to extend their win streak to three. Additionally, the Vancouver Canucks lost against the Arizona Coyotes in overtime yesterday, which narrows the gap to four with five games to play for Edmnonton.Cody Ceci, Mattias Ekholm, Zach Hyman and Leon Draisaitl all snapped home goals last night. Also, Dylan Holloway scored in his return to the lineup after capitalizing on a mistake from Adin Hill. Stuart Skinner was excellent between the pipes too, stopping 19 of the 20 shots he faced.What did you think of last nights game?     The Edmonton Oilers are back on the ice at Rogers Place tonight to face the Vegas Golden Knights. The Oilers haven't played since Saturday when they defeated the Calgary Flames 4-2 on the road. Despite those days off, Edmonton's schedule the remainder of the week is hectic with the Arizona Coyotes and the Vancouver Canucks coming to town over the weekend.Before getting to those games, it's time to focus on tonight. The Golden Knights are coming into Edmonton off the back of two disappointing losses. On Friday night, they blew a 4-1 lead in the third period and allowed the Coyotes to score six goals in the final frame.     The Edmonton Oilers needed the Vegas Golden Knights beat the Vancouver Canucks last night; however, that unfortunately was not the case. The Canucks rallied from two goals down to beat the Golden Knights to win 4-3. With that win, Vancouver increased their cushion to five points over the Oilers for first in the Pacific Division.Nevertheless, the race for the Pacific is still up for grabs. All Edmonton needs to do is keep winning and that starts tomorrow when they welcome the Golden Knights to Rogers Place. Edmonton and Vegas last met at Rogers Place in November when the Oilers won 5-4 in a shootout. Ahead of that game, the Oilers have recalled Dylan Holloway from the Bakersfield Condors. Since being set down at the trade deadline, Holloway scored ten goals and 16 points in 18 games whilst down in the American Hockey League. Now he's back with the Oilers, where does he slot into the lineup?Later in the show, former Edmonton Oilers defenceman Jason Demers joining the episode.     It was a fantastic weekend for the Edmonton Oilers grabbing back-to-back wins over the Colorado Avalanche and Calgary Flames. After their four point weekend, the Oilers now sit three points behind the Vancouver Canucks for first in the Pacific Division.Victory over the Avalanche came first for the Oilers. Edmonton put six by Alexander Georgiev including a couple from Evander Kane, who ended his career long goalless drought. On Saturday night, it was a tighter game versus the Flames at the Saddledome; however, with a goals from Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Evan Bouchard, Connor Brown and Leon Draisaitl, the Oilers won the game 4-2.What did you think of the game? The Oilers are looking for a win after dropping their last two games on the road versus the St Louis Blues and Dallas Stars.It was a tight contest the last time Edmonton and Colorado met. The game was tied 2-2 after 60 minutes but, unfortunately, the Oilers couldn't grab the extra point.     The Edmonton Oilers second game of their four game road trip couldn't have gone worse.Down in Dallas last night, the Oilers were blanked 5-0 to the Stars after Jake Oettinger made 35 stops for his third shutout of the year. The scored started early when Radek Faksa beat Calvin Pickard for his 7th of the season, after capitalzing from a turnover. The game was even for a while and then Dallas scored four goals in a six minute span, putting an end to any hopes of victory for the Oilers. Tyler Seguin got the second goal and was quickly followed by goals from Wyatt Johnston, Jamie Benn, and Sam Steel. What did you think of last nights loss?     The Edmonton Oilers three game win streak came to an end last night. However, it wasn't all bad with the Copper and Blue still managing to grab an overtime losers point.Mattias Ekholm stayed red hot finishing the game with a pair of points, including the opening goal. Evander Kane and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins both thought they had extended the Oilers lead, but the officials had a different plan. The score remained 1-0, both goals were disallowed, then Brayden Schenn scored a pair to give the Blues a 2-1 lead in the third period. Edmonton's stars pulled through when Connor McDavid set up Leon Draisaitl sending the game to overtime.
