After Reality with Courtney Robertson
Kyle Wimberley: Netflix's Million Dollar Secret Star & Authentic Reality š
On this episode, I had the pleasure of chatting with Kyle Wimberley, a contestant on Netflixās reality competition show Million Dollar Secret. Kyleās Southern charm and focus on wellness instantly stood out to me. We dove into his journey, including his surprising lack of prior experience with reality TV before landing a spot on this hit show.
Kyle opened up about his casting process, sharing how he faced several near-misses with other reality programs before finally getting his shot. His genuine and adaptable approach to the game was refreshing, and he expressed his surprise at the overwhelmingly positive public reception heās received.
One of the most heartfelt moments was when we swapped stories about growing up with very little. Kyle shared how those experiences shaped his grit, determination, and deep appreciation for the opportunities heās had in life. We also talked about the deep influence his single mother and stepdad have had on his life, from shaping his character to introducing him to hunting. Kyle didnāt hold back when discussing his time on the showāsharing stories about his favorite and least favorite challenges, life in the chateau, what motivated him to win, and even his thoughts on returning to reality TV in the future.
Stay tuned for rapid fire questions at the end. This conversation is packed with honesty, humor, and insight.Ā

Itās equal parts intention-setting and ādid you SEE this?ā energy. Welcome to 2026 with me.

Stop People-Pleasing: Fight, Flight, Freeze & Fawn Somatic Healing with Kallie Somatics
54:29|On this episode of After Reality, Iām diving into one of my favorite topics as a recovering people-pleaser: the nervous system. Iām joined by somatic practitioner Kallie Klug (aka Kallie Somatics), host of the Your Own Medicine podcast, who breaks down what really happens in our bodies when we shift into fight, flight, freeze⦠and the response almost no one talks about: fawn.If youāve ever apologized to keep the peace, said āyesā when you meant absolutely not, or shut down in conflict just to survive the moment, you might actually be fawning ā a biological survival strategy wired for protection, not politeness. Kallie explains how fawning differs from everyday people-pleasing, how these patterns get formed, and why ājust speak up!ā doesnāt stick when your body doesnāt feel safe.We talk nervous system triggers, how trauma shapes behavior, and why so many of us feel tired, resentful, and burned out from being āgoodā all the time. Kallie also shares practical somatic tools for boundary-setting (especially during the holidays) and we get into her upcoming book, Tired of Being "Good": A nervous system map for reinhibiting your body after a lifetime of fawning.IG: @kali.somaticsYour Own Medicine Podcast https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/your-own-medicine-podcast/id1584877807
Gift Smarter, Not Harder: Top Holiday Gifts for Every Love Language + Papa Robertsonās Picks
30:08|Itās that time of year again ā the After Reality Holiday Gift Guide is here! Before we get swept up in the sparkle (and stress) of shopping, Iām starting with something that truly makes gift-giving easier: the five love languages. Once you know how your people feel most appreciated, choosing the right gift suddenly becomes⦠dare I say⦠fun? In our house, weāre leaning more into experience gifts over āstuff.ā Donāt get me wrong ā I still love a gorgeous kitchen gadget, personalized accessories, and a chic, elevated loungewear set that can survive drop-offs and all-day errands. But the older my kids get, the more Iām realizing that tickets to the zoo or a year-round membership last way longer than the toy thatās played with twice and turns into clutter. This year, Iām sharing my favorite picks across every category ā from high-quality cookware to cozy little splurges for moms, dads, in-laws, teachers, and that impossible person who claims they ādonāt need anything.āI even phoned in backup from Papa Robertson. He came through with unexpectedly genius, budget-friendly ideas: magazine subscriptions, practical staples like flashlights (yes, flashlights), and timeless classics like books and digital photo frames. Leave it to Dad to keep it simple and smart. This episode is all about thoughtful gifting without overdoing it ā choosing items that bring joy, create memories, or simply make life easier. Whether itās a Dyson vacuum youāll use forever or a family outing theyāll never forget, letās make this season meaningful instead of overwhelming.PEUGEOT Salt & Pepper Mills CODE Courtney10CUTS CLOTHING https://shop.cutsclothing.com/COURTNEYLOOPY CASES COURTNEY10
