Ep. 742

Welcome to a Friday special! This week’s bonus episode features an interview with Labour MP Claire Hughes. Claire ignored a lump in her breast, having thought she was ‘too young’ to have cancer. She found out she had triple-negative breast cancer last October. After a mastectomy and courses of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, she has since been given the ‘all-clear’.

  • 737. Book Club - Interpreter of Maladies

    32:19||Ep. 737
    We've made it to our eleventh book club edition (we think)! This time, we've been reading 'Interpreter of Maladies' by Jhumpa Lahiri. Was Jane won over by the short story form? (We're fairly confident you already know the answer to that!) Plus, the wonderful Laura Hackett, deputy literary editor and fiction editor across The Sunday Times and The Times, joins Jane and Fi to share her thoughts and expertise. Fi is back on Monday, but Jane is off on holiday for a week, meaning Eve is back in the hot seat. Thank you so much for all your enthusiasm, engagement and interaction. We hope you'll join us for the next one. Get your suggestions in at: janeandfi@times.radioFollow us on Instagram! @janeandfiPodcast Producer: Eve SalusburyExecutive Producer: Rosie Cutler
