Dr. Donald Gillian-Daniel is the Director of Professional Development for the Office of Inclusion, Equity &amp; Diversity in Engineering within the College of Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He also serves as the Assistant Director of Wisconsin’s Equity &amp; Inclusion Laboratory. Dr. Gillian-Daniel’s work has focused on supporting graduate students and postdoctoral scholars in their development of inclusive teaching practices through the Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching &amp; Learning (CIRTL) Network, where he worked for 15 years. He serves as co-lead of the National Science Foundation’s <a href="https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/wcer.wisc.edu/About/Project/5580__;!!Azzr!d08mFWmrRaW8haTY9-B9oYGA1H-MhAGazB7_o3VezclhutGGxmYsDiQ0iIfRW5lgbY-TprUb$" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">NSF's Eddie Bernice Johnson INCLUDES Aspire Alliance</a>’s National Change Team. His current work focuses on supporting faculty in their development of inclusive professional practices in both higher education and STEM disciplinary and professional societies through his many NSF-funded grants, including projects funded by NSF ADVANCE, RCN:LEAPS, and IUSE. Robin Greenler is the Assistant Director for the Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching, and Learning (CIRTL) leading the development of the CIRTL Network National Learning Community. CIRTL is a network of 43 universities that support graduate students and postdocs to develop more effective and inclusive teaching skills as they pursue teaching careers in higher education. Through the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Robin is a co-principal investigator (PI) for the inclusive STEM Teaching project and has developed a broadly accessible open online course focusing on development of inclusive teaching skills. She is PI in the NSF-funded Leveraging, Developing and Enhancing Biology, a Research Coordination Network that identifies evidence-based inclusion strategies to address persistent equity challenges in professional and scientific societies.&nbsp;Along with Dr. Gillian-Daniel, Robin co-leads the National Science Foundation (NSF) Aspire Alliance National Change Initiative. Her focus in all of these projects is supporting faculty and institutions to develop equitable, socially just practices and policies across the higher education landscape.

Dr. Talitha Washington is the Director of the Atlanta University Center (AUC) Data Science Initiative and professor of mathematics at Clark Atlanta University.&nbsp;As the Director of the Atlanta University Center (AUC) Data Science Initiative and professor of mathematics at Clark Atlanta University, she is passionate about engaging more HBCUs and building a community to accelerate the preparation of students in data science and discover solutions for data-oriented problems that impact the lives of Black Americans. She is the lead and principal investigator of the NSF-funded National Data Science Alliance to Expand Data Science at HBCUs (NDSA). The goal of the NDSA is to increase the number of Black people earning data science credentials by at least 20,000 by 2027 and expand data science research that advocates for social justice and strive to eliminate bias. Dr. Washington has had many accolades in her long career and has held many prominent positions, including Program Director at the National Science Foundation.

Dr. Benjamin Flores, is professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Texas El Paso and PI of the Texas Regional Collaborative section of the NSF INCLUDES Aspire Alliance.&nbsp;He has over 25 years of managing STEM education research and training programs with more than 40 million in the research portfolio since 2005, he has been the PI and director of the University of Texas system, Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation, and also the University of Texas system Bridge to Doctorate Program.

Episode #7: Interview with Dr. Benjamin Flores, Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Texas El Paso

Mr. Chike Aguh is the Chief Innovation Officer for the Department of Labor. His office sets the department’s research and development agenda for open government, digital products and the introduction of new technologies intended to improve the workforce system, agency customer service and data sharing. Mr. Aguh's career has focused on the future of work as well as its impacts on and opportunities for nations, organizations, workers and underserved communities. He is the recipient of various awards and has served in multiple roles that directly impact workforce equity, including: the 2020-21 Technology and Human Rights Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Carr Center for Human Rights, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations’ Taskforce on the Future of Work, the inaugural Future of Work Fellow at the International Society for Technology in Education, and expert advisor to the American AI Forum.

Episode #6: Interview with Chike Aguh, Chief Innovation Officer, U.S. Department of Labor

Dr. Aaron Thomas is an Associate Professor and Director of the Native American Research Laboratory and Indigenous Research and STEM Education at the University of Montana.&nbsp;Dr. Thomas has a long history of directing National Science Foundation and NASA funded research projects in the field of chemical engineering and increasing degree matriculation of Native American and Alaska Native students in STEM fields.&nbsp;He has developed a comprehensive service plan to stimulate STEM education activities in Montana's reservation middle schools and continues to support the students in their undergraduate and graduate STEM studies at the University of Montana. Dr. Thomas is the Principal Investigator on the NSF INCLUDES Design and Development Launch Pilot (DDLP) American Indian Traditional Science Experience (AITSE).
