Liz chats with our first guest of the season, Barrie Miskin, NYC-based author of, Hell Gate Bridge: A Memoir of Motherhood, Madness, and Hope. Barrie shares more about her experience of navigating a mysterious mental illness during pregnancy and postpartum. She talks about spending time in psychiatric facilities and the gaps in maternal mental healthcare in the US. While her story is terrifying and tragic in many ways, it's filled with so much light and refreshing honesty. You'll adore Barrie!
