Not Just Anything

As we wrap up Season 1 we wanted to take a moment to reflect on the learnings we've had from the 30 brilliant women we interviewed and thank each of you for tuning in each week for our first season. We look forward to seeing you again for Season 2 later this year.

For our last interview of Season One, we could not be more thrilled to share that we're speaking with Maya Hari, who is the VP of Global Strategy and Operations for Twitter. Maya brings a wealth of global leadership experience, but is also one of those amazing humans whose passion for life and for making a difference is really evident to all who know her. We couldn't think of a better person to round up our first season than Maya - she really is an incredible human. This week, we're speaking to coach and author Agi Heale. Agi has lived and worked all over the world and is passionate about coaching people from all walks of life. Her book, Generation Panic, which is released tomorrow, is on a mission to provide tools and techniques for professionals struggling with anxiety. In our conversation, Agi courageously shares her own story of anxiety, what motivates her about her work, how the pandemic has impacted people's mental health, and what prompted her to work with individuals to stay energised, positive, and resilient.

This week we're speaking to Vicky Skipp, who is Workplace by Facebook's Head of Asia Pacific & Japan. I've been lucky enough to know Vicky for almost a decade, and I've watched her people-first approach to leadership support not only her phenomenal journey but also the transformation of loads of people around her. Vicky shares her insights into authentic leadership, her own truth, and also the moments in her career that she feels have really propelled her to becoming the person that she is today.

Jo is the Founder and CEO of Inspiring Rare Birds, the Founder at MD of Job Capital, and the Co-Founder of Startup Business. She's written several books, is a member of the Young Presidents' Organisation and also its Global Impact Award Regional Honoree for the Oceania. What we really loved about our conversation with Jo was her unwavering confidence and can-do approach, her belief in knowing what matters to you and who you want to become, her conviction in wanting to build a legacy focused on impact and her palpable passion for entrepreneurship and gender equity.

This week, we're speaking to the vibrant Nichol Ng. Nichol is the Owner of X-Inc, which is a multi-million dollar group of companies in the F&B space in Singapore. She's also the co-founder of The Food Bank Singapore, a member of the Young President's Organisation (YPO) as well as their Global Impact Regional Award Honoree for Southeast Asia, and the President of (ONE) Singapore. In case you think there probably isn't any time to do anything else, she's also the mother of four young children. In our conversation, we explore everything from her story of turning around a generations-old family business, the importance of giving and philanthropy, and how she manages to fit all of this into a very busy life. The conversation was truly electric, which was aided by a very large lightning storm going on in the background which you may hear from time to time. 

Today, I'm speaking to the change agent, Kristi Rible. Kristi describes herself as a cultural strategist and skillful ideator driven to big picture projects that produce societal systemic and structural change. Like so many of our guests, she wears many hats as the founder of The Huuman Group, a mom, and an instructor at Stanford teaching, the course - Motherhood & Work. In our conversation, we discuss everything from the future of work, to gender equity, to motherhood. I look forward to hearing how you find our conversation.

This week, we're speaking to Sarah Bagharib, who is a lifelong humanitarian, a TEDx speaker, founder of an empowerment community for women called Crazycat, a mum and advisory member at the Singapore Muslim Women's Association and a communications professional working for Médecins Sans Frontière. Sarah talks about her journey to discovering her purpose of lending a voice for those in need and how she works every day to strengthen her own confidence to lead the life that she wants.
