    01:19:05||Season 3, Ep. 17
    Just in time for seasonal relevance we embark on the journey of probably the most Thanksgiving movie ever made, 1987's Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. This beloved classic is so entwined in our memories that they kinda blur into each other at times, and upon closer watching there are several plot points that seem to crop up out of nowhere... as if there were large swaths of this film that we've never seen and will never see... Whelp, that's my ellipses quota for this year. Enjoy, and happy holidays from the NK crew! • 14. Sneakers #086

    01:05:45||Season 3, Ep. 14
    We send off one of the greats in this episode, and despite his rather extensive movie catalog, we chose a film perhaps not well known by most: 1992's Sneakers. Using the backdrop of San Francisco and the Bay Area, Robert Redford's high-rent A-Team trapses through ducts and bypasses security systems to retrieve a serious piece of hardware. Full of action and comedy and bad running, Sneakers delivers the goods that would go on to inspire Mission Impossible and Ocean's movies.Goodbye, Robert Redford. (be bored forgery odd rot)This movie's cocktail: Cosmo’s Cosmo (aka Pizza-tini)2oz Parmesan and pepperoni infused vodka4oz Tomato juiceA pinch of Basil, oregano and garlic powderMix the tomato juice with the herbs and spices and separately combine the vodka with a slice of pepperoni and an once of Parmesan cheese. Let both mixtures infuse overnight; be sure to filter out any particles.Once both mixtures are ready; combine them in a shaker tin with ice; remembering that Cosmo likes his pepperoni pizza shaken not stirred.Subscribe to us on Patreon FREE! • 13. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade #085

    01:04:04||Season 3, Ep. 13
    Arguably the pinnacle of the Indiana Jones series of films, in this episode we revisit The Last Crusade (and one of us for the first time) as Indy tracks down his kidnapped Sean Connery and is forced to join him on his quest of the holy grail. From the golden era of film making, paying homage to the previous golden era of film making, Spielberg keeps the magic and mysticism flowing even after all these years.This Movie's Cocktail: Cup of Kings2oz Nectarine infused Charbay Vodka.5oz Lemon Juice.5oz Simple SyrupTonicHandful of fresh fruitCombine everything in a pint glass and top with tonic water. 01:13:44||Season 3, Ep. 15
    Can a movie have eyes bigger than its stomach? This episode we tackle The Ring, and our haunting memories that have grown long shadows with age. Once placed on a horror pedestal and marketed to within an inch of its life, this film might not see all of us through. I don't know, though: if I handed you a VHS tape and told you it was cursed, what would race through your mind, other than where the hell am I going to find a working VCR in 2025? Would you watch it?This movie's cocktail: She Never Sleeps1.5oz Charbay Espresso Martini Liqueur0.5oz AmaroAngostura Bitters1 whole eggShake all ingredients together with ice. • 11. But I'm a Cheerleader #083

    01:48:33||Season 3, Ep. 11
    Just in time for Pride Month! Er... why wait for June to celebrate? Julia Kaplan joins us once again for this wonderful time capsule of independent film, But I'm a Cheerleader. Writer/Director Jamie Babbit's ambitious film about a cheerleader sent to gay conversion camp lands several jabs and jokes aimed at common stereotypes and misled perceptions of, well, let's face it: squares. Beloved by many and appropriately placed on a pedestal, listen in to see what Javier thinks after seeing it for the first time. And if anyone knows where to get one of those electro-toy-thingies, leave us a clue in the comments.This movie's COCKtail: Rocks Refresher2oz Meyer Lemon Vodka0.75oz Lime1oz Watermelon syrupFresh mintSodaLightly shake everything up and top with soda; you better chug it like a man.Featuring:Julia KaplanJavier MartinezChuck StarzenskiLuc Londe
