Episode 031 - No Labels, No Limits - with Josiah Bruny, Child Music Advocate

Season 1, Ep. 31

Our guest today is Josiah Bruny, a Southern Californian, with a lifelong dream of sharing music and art (and the business side) with underprivileged and at-risk children around the world. He started a non-profit called Music Changing Lives in 1998 and it has grown into a phenomenal after school program impacting the lives of many thousands of children.

When asked about his success, Josiah says, "There's thousands of people that have molded me into who I am today and I have to give them all the credit. And that's why I'm so appreciative."

Successful people create habits that keep them at that level. Josiah says that having a schedule for your priorities and waking up early to power through work while it's quiet are some of his success habits. Also he mentions, "Know when it's time to say no. A lot of people, once you start making it, will start clinging onto you because they see the bright star in you. Now you got to know when to say no, that's not for me or not right now. And before I used to take on so much I will get burned out and so I've learned how to back away because some people don't do the same for you."

She is a frequent speaker and presenter on women’s leadership, girls empowerment and the role social media and technology plays on girls self-esteem, confidence and brain health. Where does she find the inspiration? Maria says, "Inspiration is everywhere. You have to look to find it, but it's really found in those ordinary women, right? We call them ordinary because we haven't heard about them in the media. But it's those everyday women that are seeking their truth and they're being vulnerable and they're sharing it and, and they just keep going. Even though they hit a wall, they pivot and they try again. They inspire me to keep going." Episode 64 - No Labels, No Limits podcast - with Joe Pettit, Professional Speaker and Nutrition Expert

Season 1, Ep. 64
It’s our honor today to interview Joe Pettit, a Professional Speaker, and a Nutrition Services Expert. He is quickly becoming one of the hottest speakers on resilience, producing results by strengthening your personal development, and leadership. He has an uncanny ability to engage, connect, and inspire audiences. He presents at state and national conferences, nonprofits, and schools. A blogger, entrepreneur, and motivation addict – he’s got an incredibly interesting story. Take a listen. Here are his instructions and advice for a smooth, daily flow, “How you set up your daily routine is how you will be able to conquer your mind, how you start your day and how you end your day. The first thing that I do when I wake up, I just say something that I'm grateful for, what, what is my mission for the day? And then immediately I go into listening to motivational videos. Now, I believe that a couple of things that cause the most friction in the morning is what we wear and what we eat. So, to eliminate this friction, at night I pick out my clothes and iron them. Then, I go ahead and cook and prepare my breakfast so that once I wake up in the morning, it's a smooth process. That is how I make sure the day is aligned.” His last bit of advice is, “Ultimately, I think there's one thing that we forget is that life is long and we need to be really patient, that things don't have to happen right away. But the number one message is to be aware of who you are and be okay with who you are.” Connect with Joe and learn more about his Garden here: www.joepettitinspires.com - get your free ebook on Inspiring Leadership FB: Joe Pettit Instagram: Joe Pettit Inspires LinkedIn: Joe Pettit #cupofjoe #NLNLpodcast #speaker #leadership #beokaywithyou #inpsiration
