Ep 7. Sarah Smyth: Overcoming Failure & Using Your Singleness Wisely

Sarah Smyth, founder of Raw & Rebellious, joins us to talk about her entrepreneurial journey, overcoming failure, dating in the south, her thoughts on inclusion, and how brands and organizations should be treating those with special needs in ad campaigns. I can honestly say Sarah was our must vulnerable and honest guest we have had to date. I love her courageous heart to take ownership of improving herself and admitting where she failed along the way, a true mark of a great leader and entrepreneur.

Q&A Timestamps:

1:23 -- How did you come up with the idea to start Raw & Rebellious?

12:11 — Why did you decide to make hand made jewelry over purchasing from various wholesalers and where do you get design inspiration?

20:00 — Have you ever battled self doubt, anxiety, or lack of self confidence when building Raw & Rebellious? If so, how did you overcome it?

33:54 — Everybody hates to hear “Just don’t quit” when we’re looking for something tangible to implement. What pieces of advice would you share for practical, real steps someone can take when dealing with failure or feeling like they’re at their lowest point?

42:57 — What has been your dating life been like as someone who owns her own company?
