Join me to slow down with a story and explore how we might approach protective strategies in our lives in ways that help us unburden and move forward differently.

6: Spiritual Formation for Protective Strategies

In this episode, I share a bit about how we’ll explore spiritual formation from an integrative lens, tuning in to all the facets of our embodied beings, crafting new rhythms in the depths of the soul.

1: Welcome.

Join me to slow down for a few minutes, starting to explore some of the ways that curiosity shifts how we approach spiritual formation.

2: How Curiosity Shifts Spiritual Formation

Join me to explore how nervous system states and internal conflict can create stuck spaces in our spiritual formation -- and how we might approach these spaces from new perspectives.

3: Exploring Stuck Spaces in Spiritual Formation

Join me to slow down and chat about the parts of us we don't like, exploring what's going on beneath the surface for these facets of ourselves -- and how we might be misunderstanding them.

4: The Parts Of Us We Don't Like

Join me to slow down and consider how a different perspective on self compassion can create movement in stuck spaces.

5: A Different Kind of Self Compassion

Join me to slow down and explore if what we mean when we say 'soul' today matches the ancient words we translate as 'soul' from Scripture -- and if they don’t mean the same thing (spoiler alert, they don’t!), what does that mean for the formation of our souls today?

What is the Soul?

Join me to slow down and get curious about the many both-ands that we hold inside, and how we can connect with the whole of who we are in the formation of our souls.

Both-And in Spiritual Formation

Join me to slow down and get curious about all the things within — and how connected (or disconnected!) we are from the many multifaceted strands of our being.

All the Things

Let's Live Wholeheartedly & Wholebodily

Through personal stories, therapeutic concepts, and curiosity, each episode creates space to slow down and explore what shapes the stuck spaces of our formation. If you've ever felt stuck or simply want to journey deeper in your spirituality or therapeutic work, join me to contemplate how understanding the many facets of our embodied beings helps us cultivate new rhythms in our lives. Anchored in the messiness of real life, each episode explores cross-sections of some of my favorite things, including, interpersonal neurobiology, nervous system regulation, contemplative practices, and parts work. I’m a trauma-informed therapist who holds a second master’s degree in biblical studies and has served in a spiritual formation fellowship -- and before any of these things, I'm simply a human navigating the messiness of life and faith. These perspectives have come together in my life in meaningful ways, crafting new rhythms, which I’d love to share with you here. To connect on social media, follow @a.c.seiple on Instagram.
