42:40||Season 4, Ep. 6.1Happy New Year everyone! Laura and Will kick off 2023 with a delightfully wholesome visit to Lewes Castle. Tucked away on a cobbled street just off the main High Street through Lewes, are the ruins of Lewes Castle. Built by William de Warrenne right back in the past when everything was a nightmare. They explore the history of Lewes and the castle, and then take a trip up through the ruins to the top of the keep. This was recorded in December when the snow was falling and the roads were treacherous - who knows what the weather is like now it's January? Literally could be anything given how the weather has been of late.Anyway, enjoy a bit of Norman history and beyond. Next week, we complete our trip with the recording of our visit round the archaeological museum.
