Ep. 189 - Sara Crowe

Sara Crowe is probably still best known as the “Philadelphia girl” for her part in the Philadelphia cream cheese adverts in the 90’s playing a ditsy blonde secretary. Sara was the first bride in the film Four Wedding and a Funeral, was in Carry On Columbus and the film version of Tony Hawks's best selling book, Round Ireland with a Fridge. On TV she’s the voice of Queen Thistle in the hugely popular children’s animation Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom, has been in Smith & Jones, Harry Enfield’s Television Programme, The Rory Bremner Show, Born and Bred, Casualty and Skins. On stage she won an Olivier Award for her role in Private Lives and other West End roles include in Twelfth Night, Hay Fever and The Constant Wife, Acorn Antiques the Musical and Alan Ayckbourn's Absurd Person Singular. Sara has written two novels, Campari for Breakfast, published in 2014 and Martini Henry in 2016. Comedian and podcaster Richard Herring takes Mike’s role as host.Michael Fenton Stevens is an actor and podcast host who's television credits include the recent Slow Horses with Kristen Scott Thomas and Gary Oldman, five series of Benidorm as Sir Henry, the British Consul, The Crown, KYTV, My Family as Robert Lindsay's long suffering boss, Not Going Out, Outnumbered, Pete Versus Life, Persuasion with Sally Hawkins, Casualty, Doctors, My Hero, Nighty Night, Coronation Street, Footballers’ Wives, Holby City, Look Around You with Peter Serafinowicz and Olivia Colman, Absolute Power with Stephen Fry, Trevor’s World of Sport, Eastenders, Mr Bean, One Foot in the Grave and Only Fools and Horses, to name but a few. He’s soon to be seen in the BBC’s Ghosts, Armando Iannucci's Avenue 5 with Hugh Laurie and the comedy series Hapless on Netflix. Mike was a member of the parody pop group, The HeeBeeGeeBees, the classic BBC Radio4 comedy group, Radio Active, and he sang the lead vocal on the Spitting Image no.1 hit, The Chicken Song. He’s also done a lot of theatre, including the RSC and the West End, a number of times. Ep. 199 - Andrew Lynford

Andrew Lynford is an actor, presenter, writer, director and casting director. As an actor he’s best known for playing Simon Raymond in EastEnders, the brother of Martine McCutcheon's character Tiffany. His character made headlines in the British press, following a gay kiss with Tiffany’s boyfriend, Tony.After leaving EastEnders, Andrew presented various shows for television, including Wild Thing, Taste Today, and the comedy quiz Arty Facts, which he also devised. He was a writer on the sketch show Tittybangbang and written gags for Dick and Dom for the Sky One quiz Are You Smarter Than a Ten-Year-Old? Lynford was a casting director at Center Theatre Group in Los Angeles and head of casting at leading UK theatre company Bill Kenwright Ltd. He continues to be a hugely successful casting director in LA.
