The Hail Mary Prayer

Ep. 19

In this episode, we share a short reflection on the Hail Mary prayer with reference to a leaflet on the power of the Hail Mary published by Ave Maria publications 1954. This little leaflet shares beautiful nuggets of wisdom on the beauty of the prayer, its deeper meaning and  where the words of the Hail Mary prayer are inspired from - namely Scripture.
It emphasises the powerful intercession of Mary, a woman who is most revered of all women,  as the Mother of God and the Mother of the Church.

"The Hail Mary is like a mine of gold that we can always take from but never exhaust".

    45:04||Ep. 17
    In this episode we look at the Miraculous Medal, a story that has many interweaving threads and contributes many examples of the providence of God and the closeness of our Blessed Mother Mary. The Miraculous Medal was a revelation of Our Lady to a young sister called Catherine Laboure, later to be declared a saint. St Catherine was born in 1806, France and in the year 1830 she joined the sisters of the Daughters of Charity which had been founded by St Vincent de Paul. Just a  few months later after she entered the congregation, St Catherine received two apparitions of Our Lady. It was in the second apparition of 27th November, 1830 that Our Lady revealed her wishes to have a medal struck according to the image that she conveyed to Catherine. She promised that anyone who would wear this medal would 'receive great graces'. The Miraculous Medal became known as 'miraculous' due to the countless miracles attributed to it. Music Credits: Inspirational Innovation by Ashamaluev MusicContact Email: msdcatholic@gmail.com
  • 16. The Story of Our Lady of Lourdes and St Bernadette
