  • Ye Sues Ex-Employee Over Malibu Home Lien

    01:49|
Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, has filed a lawsuit against his former employee Tony Saxon and Saxons lawyers. Ye claims they wrongly placed a mechanics lien on his Malibu home to pressure him in a legal dispute. The suit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on January 8, 2024. Ye and his company argue the $1,819,986 lien was invalid and part of a publicity stunt. The dispute began in September 2023 when Saxon sued Ye for not paying for construction and demolition work on the property. Ye denied the claims. After listing the house for sale in December 2023, Saxon and his team recorded the lien on January 10, 2024, allegedly to scare off buyers and force a payout. However, the lien was not legitimate, and Ye obtained a release bond to clear things up. A judge ruled in Yes favor on July 1, 2025, freeing the lien from the bond, and later awarded Ye his attorney fees. Now, Ye is seeking a jury trial to address claims of slander of title, interference with business, abuse of process, and unfair competition. Checkout Solipillow.com
