Clare McConnell is a Canadian Screen Award–nominated actor and comedian best known for her roles as Effie Newsome on CBC’s Murdoch Mysteries and Klingon leader Dennas on Star Trek: Discovery. Her recent work includes Twisted Metal, Slasher (Season 5), and the feature film Fingernails, alongside credits in American Gods, Coroner, Killjoys, Children Ruin Everything, Wynonna Earp, Avocado Toast, and Hudson & Rex. A Canadian Comedy Award–nominated performer, she is also an alumna of The Second City Mainstage and a regular in Toronto’s live comedy scene, with voice roles in Rainbow Six: Siege and House of Ashes.
Shailyn Pierre-Dixon is a Canadian actor best known for her role as Macy on CBC’s Murdoch Mysteries and the digital series Macy Murdoch. Her additional credits include The Book of Negroes, Between, Odd Squad, and The Magic School Bus Rides Again. She is also an accomplished voice actor, with work across a range of animated series and projects.
