On this episode of the Mrs Yorkshire podcast Sophie Mei Lan is joined by Christine Talbot, the face of ITV Calendar for 20 years. Born in Lancashire, she moved to Yorkshire for love and it's where she started in newspapers.
Christine was the last person to receive correspondence from serial killer Peter Sutcliffe from his prison cell and she conducted in depth interviews with paedophile Jimmy Saville. In 2022, Christine left Calendar to work as a freelance presenter, podcast host, columnist, and campaigner for a range of women's rights issues such as better support for victims of domestic violence, breast cancer, and menopause awareness. Christine shares for the first time the real reason for leaving ITV Calendar.
