    Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a fashion designer and have a brand that sells all over the country and the world?Our mentor today is Sonia Stradiotto who is celebrating 35 years of being a fashion designer. She has dressed some of Australia’s most influential people, thrown the biggest fashion shows in the country and her style is pure glam.. sequins and sparkles, just like her personality. But it has not been easy. This didn't deter her, she pivoted and started an at home fashion revolution and inspired everyone to take the rubbish out in a ball gown, she was one of the few that came out the other side of the pandemic stronger than beforeWith a book and documentary coming out soon be inspired by Sonia's story of starting small to building a lasting legacy. • 9. Glitter Girl

    40:32||Season 1, Ep. 9
    16 years old and already her parents Boss! Meet Glitter Girl, aka Sophia Rizzo a Young Entrepreneur who started selling Glitter in the classroom at age 9 and now at 16 has a business with over 200 items in stock and ships globally. Big things are coming for Glitter Girl as a brand and we are so excited for what you can learn from todays podcast. Something Millie has touched on a few times in this podcast is how she has always been a little entrepreneur herself, selling lemons, lemonade, or pompoms out the front of our house. When that wasn't enough she started a little insta biz called Crystals for Kids, she is always hustling and thinking of ways to make money. I’ve never stopped her because I love her hustle, and also every cent she earns is money I don’t have to earn to spend on her! Todays mentor is a little similar but way ahead of the game. When Sophia decided to dress colourfully for school and had a “little idea” to bring pots of glitter to her school and charged her classmates $2 for the craft glitter which she ordered online. Despite getting in trouble at school, she pivoted and started to sell at markets and online, that business is now called Glitter Girl and making enough that both Sophia’s parents quit their jobs so they could work full-time FOR HER. She has now won awards including Gold Coast Bulletin's Young Woman of the Year awards, Business awards and many more. We thought our listeners would love to hear how such a young person can start a business and be so successful she is now supporting her own family. We know many of you have similar dreams, so settle in and learn how you can start your own business from Move Over Mamas youngest mentor yet!If you want to find out more about Glitter Girl you can follow her on her socials @Glittergirl.au or shop her products online at www.glittergirl.com.au We wish Sophia the best of luck and can't wait for her next big announcement, its coming soon.
