The biggest month of the year for IndyCar is just around the corner and George Phillips fills us in on all you need to know!

The Month of May is just around the corner, it's the biggest month of the year for the IndyCar series and it's capped off with the Indy 500. Before that there's a road course raise at Indy, Indy 500 qualifying weekend, this weekend's Grand Prix of Long Beach and more. It's a busy time on track for IndyCar with a lot going on off track as well, with the impending arrival of the new hybrid engine and a new TV/streaming deal for 2025 and beyond. There's also the rich history of IndyCar, the 500 and the ever present debate about the balance between ovals and street/road courses on the IndyCar schedule. It's the perfect time to talk IndyCar and George Phillips is the guy to talk about it with. He joins us this week to talk all about it! We're back after a week off with Jarett Andretti joining us for our latest interview. Jarett is competing in the IMSA Weathertech Championship in the GTD category after spending the last couple of years in the LMP3 category. He talks about his 2024 season so far, how he got up to speed with a late start in his racing career, his experience in dirt track racing and about his father, John, the wider Andretti racing family and the #Checkit4Andretti foundation's important mission. MOTA Checks in with Jarett Andretti

We chatted this week with Samantha Tan, who owns and operates Samantha Tan Racing and races in the SRO GT World Challenge America... 

Samantha sat down with us on a busy Monday in her shop out in California as she and her team continue preparations for the opening weekend of the GT World Challenge America 2024 calendar, taking place at Sonoma Raceway on April 5-7th. Samantha talked about her start in racing, the unique circumstance around founding her own team, her success in touring cars, GT4 and GT3 categories. She also discussed how her long association with BMW turned into being a BMW M Motorsport Global Ambassador in 2023 and again in 2024. Before our interview with Samantha we also checked in on how the racing has been going for our previous driver guests. MOTA Talks F1 with Aaron Guy Leroux

Mac Clark joins us to talk about his upcoming season in USF Pro 2000 and where he's headed from there!

This week, Mac Clark joins the pod to talk about his upcoming season in USF Pro 2000 and how he’s quickly climbing the open wheel ranks on his own personal road to Indy. Mac has had a tremendous amount of success in his young career starting out in Canada before moving into US F4 and then into USF Juniors and beyond. He talks about representing Canada in the wider racing world, balancing race car driving with attending college and his goal of winning the Indy 500. Haas emerged from testing as the top team on the grid..in one particular category anyway.&nbsp; Most of Haas’ pre-season talk has been about trying to improve on tire degradation and hoping that leads to better performances in races. <a href="https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article.magnussen-insists-spirit-is-good-within-haas-after-steiner-departure.4ABdgJoe9VuppuURGZkVM9.html" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Kevin Magnussen spoke positively</a> about how everything is going with Ayao Komatsu and was also honest about their expectations heading into the season. Logan Sargeant logged laps on day one and two of the pre-season testing for Williams, placing 11th on both days. Listen in to hear more about Haas and Logan's week in Bahrain. F2 and F3 will also be running that weekend, <a href="https://www.fiaformula2.com/Teams/209/DAMS-Lucas-Oil" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">DAMS will be running two American drivers</a> in F2, Jak Crawford and Juan Manuel Correa and in F3 there will be another American, <a href="https://www.maxesterson.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Max Esterson</a>. We’ll keep track of all four US drivers involved across F1, 2 and 3 all season. Thomas talks about his disappointment that the Andrettis have been denied a return to F1. And that means Haas will continue on as the only Americanish based F1 team as they possibly set the record for the <a href="https://www.the-race.com/formula-1/haas-reveals-first-2024-formula-1-car/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">fastest deflation of preseason optimism</a> in the history of sports with some quotes from their new team principal.
