116. Vanished on a Backpacking Trip (Los Padres National Forest, California)
In August 2014, an experienced backpacker set out for a multi-day trip, carrying plenty of supplies for his trek. When he didn’t show up at his planned exit, his friends reported him missing. The search went on for 10 days and nothing was found. He hasn’t been seen since. What happened to him? Anyone with information is asked to call the Monterey County Sheriff's Office at 831-755-3722 and refer to case number 14-05301.
