Russell Hill and Carol Clay, both in their seventies had not been seen since March 19, 2020. The pair had headed out into the remote region on a secret holiday together. The alarm was raised when a family of campers came across a burnt and damaged camper in the hidden pocket of Buck’s Camp in Wonnangatta and called police. As days turned into weeks Police held grave concerns for the pair’s safety. Had they vanished into the harsh rugged terrain? Or had something far more sinister occurred?
