NBA SHOW EPISODE 18 - BROOKLYN NETS, BILL RUSSELL, DRAYMOND GREEN
On this week episode in ‘The Huddle’ we discuss the Brooklyn Nets.
After seemingly having the NBA title in their sights the previous two seasons, the Brooklyn Nets have self destructed with Kyrie Irving's anti-vaccination stance caused him to miss their home games and James Harden leaving mid season. Having fallen well below expectations losing in the first round and a chaotic off-season, what will this coming season bring for this dysfunctional group of superstars?
Our 'All Ball' segment will be discussing recently passed 11 time champion and iconic civil rights activist, Bill Russell. Widley considered one of the greatest players to have ever played, Russell made most of his impact on the defensive end averaging 15.1ppg, 22.5reb and 4.3 assists during his Hall of Fame career, also making 12 all star appearances and was the centrepiece of the Celtics dynasty during the 1960's. Where does Russell fit as one of the greatest defensive players of all time and how did his game effect the way the NBA is played today?
And to round out the show in ‘Rapid Fire’, we talk about Draymond Green's future and is it with the Golden State Warriors. Reports of Green wanting a max contract when is current contract is over, will the Warriors offer the 32 year old veteran a max or do they look to the future at some of their younger talent such as Jordan Poole? Stephen Curry is hoping the team match his 4 time championship partner's demands. but if they decide to part ways how does it effect the future of the Warriors and the relationship between the current core?
