Days of Thunder

We’re back from our trip to Disneyland where we successfully completed a 10k (6.2 miles) of running through the parks, and raising money for American Cancer Society. We recap a bit about the race and then we dive into a movie you may have overlooked in The Holdovers.&nbsp;A curmudgeonly instructor at a New England prep school remains on campus during Christmas break to babysit a handful of students with nowhere to go. He soon forms an unlikely bond with a brainy but damaged troublemaker, and with the school's head cook, a woman who just lost a son in the Vietnam War. This film is one of our favorites from 2023 and we highly encourage you to check it out. Favorite films of 2023

This is the true story of the Von Erich family who were famous wrestlers in the Texas territories, but the tragedies they suffer outside of the ring are the heart of the movie. Zac Efron gives a career performance and the rest of the supporting cast shine bright in their ensemble roles. You don’t need to be a wrestling fan to appreciate this movie, and we definitely recommend you see it in theaters.
