"Frogs For Snakes" is an indie comedy/thriller written and directed by Amos Poe who likes to make weird films. This film is from 1998 but has serious 1993 vibes.

"Frogs for Snakes" follows Eva, an out of work actress that also does a bit of debt collection for her ex husband, Al, a famous and violent producer. She hangs out with a lot of her actor friends at a diner where many of them break off into random monologues from various plays and films.

John Leguizamo plays Zip, Eva's new boyfriend. Like Eva, he is also a struggling actor who is very good at sex and being sexy. He is in one scene before he is shot and killed by another struggling actor who wants to prove is worth to Al so that he'll cast him in his new show. Insane.
