"Empire" is an action/drama movie set in New York (released in 2002 but was definitely filmed in 2001.)

It tells the story of Victor, a self described Latin Hustler who makes his money selling cocaine for Isabella Rossellini surrounded by a tight group of friends and his adoring girlfriend. Life is flipped upside-down for Victor when he meets a rich and successful Peter Sarsgaard and is offered a job with all of his fancy city  boys.

John plays Victor, the lead role OH MY GOD.
