Well, this week we are watching The Witches of Eastwick to kick start a new film club! 🧙‍♀️🧙‍♀️🧙‍♀️Cher, Michelle Pfiffer and Susan Sarandon star in this witchy, CAMP and 80’s cult classic ✨💅 We have curated a list of 10 must-see and iconic films from the decade – every other Thursday, we will watch a new one as a club.Then, you can tune in to this podcast and other club content on TikTok to chat about the film the following day. We discuss what made it iconic, what made it unexpected and explore how each one fits into history.</li></ol> IRL releases:&nbsp;Films in cinema.<ol><li>We choose these based on the current zeitgeist.</li><li>To watch these films, you will need to go to the cinema, IRL.</li><li>Podcast structure: We share our pre-conceptions from outside the cinema, then head-on in to watch the film. Afterwards, we rush to a local bar and give our real-time reactions. We deliberate over a one-word review, crown our on and off-screen MVPs and debate over what we each loved (and did not).</li></ol> <h3>Order of&nbsp;events. </h3> In advance: <ul><li>We announce the film title and an overview of why we have high hopes.</li></ul> Thursday:&nbsp;Watch day 👀Watch the film from wherever you are.ICONS-ONLY series: Watch on whatever streaming service you like, or commit and buy a DVDIRL RELEASES: Book a ticket at your local cinema, who knows, another club member may turn up too. Thursday:&nbsp;Chat on&nbsp;<a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@mirrormirror.cinemaclub" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">TikTok</a>&nbsp;💬Jump into the comment section to see what other club members thought and share your own opinion.We will share prompt questions about the film, and react to them ourselves. Friday:&nbsp;Podcast deep dive 🎧Tune into our podcast to hear us discuss the film. Following week:&nbsp;<a href="https://mirrormirrorcinemaclub.substack.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Substack</a>&nbsp;🤗For each film, we will share a wrap-up post. It will collate all the content we have created around the film, alongside some of your reactions on TikTok. This is another opportunity to share your thoughts on the film, after having more time to reflect and hear others’ opinions.
