SA's $1.5B Water Infrastructure Boost for Northern Adelaide
•
South Australias northern suburbs, particularly Adelaide, are witnessing significant housing and infrastructure development. A $1.5 billion water infrastructure project has completed a crucial phase, installing extensive new pipework along Curtis Road, stretching from Andrews Farm to Blakeview. This is part of a larger plan to lay 5,200 meters of new trunk water mains across Angle Vale. Construction crews have now moved to Craigmore Road, aiming to connect the entire new pipeline network. The State Government, SA Water, and the City of Playford have decided to upgrade Craigmore Road, reconstructing it to improve surface and commuting safety. SA Water is funding this full-width reconstruction, with work being done in stages. The project is on schedule, with further investments planned for 2026 to support the regions growing residential needs.
