Springclean Your Mind

Season 1, Ep. 4

This time of year, with the increasing light, we turn out attention to Springcleaning our homes which has a great effect on our surroundings. However we often leave out a very important aspect - a cluttered mind. It is very difficult to make any sort of new habit from a place of chaos especially an internal one. We are becoming more aware of the importance of our environment and the effect it has on our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well being, so let's look at how we think and release old habits and ways of being.

  • 12. How to Survive the Festive Season and Live to Tell the Tale...

    25:18||Season 1, Ep. 12
    The end of December is a wonderful time of year full of loving, giving and receiving. A happy family time…or is it? Christmas, or whatever festival you celebrate, is when our emotions are practically tripled in strength including the nice and the not-so-nice ones. It is often when we feel we must conform to society’s version of what should happen on that one day. We can get caught up in a whirlwind of very expensive present buying, the need to have our home and the hospitality we offer to a high standard and pressurised into inviting certain people over. However in the end, we can be left feeling exhausted with frayed nerves and a sense of what-was-that-all-about? So this year why not take the holistic mind, body, spirit approach and enjoy the festivities in the best possible way. The good news is that preparation is everything and it’s never too late to start.www.drkarenwardtherapist.ie@drkarenwardtherapist
  • 11. Older, Wiser, Finer

    25:21||Season 1, Ep. 11
    Wouldn’t it be amazing to have the body you had when you were a teenager? But would you also want the mind you had then? Probably not! Ideally we want a slim, trim body with the wealth of experience we have gained through the years. We can’t turn back the clock but the way we look after ourselves body, mind and soul will definitely keep that youthful glow about us for the rest of our lives as we harness all we have learned so far and forge ahead with our exciting epic life. My book 'The Secrets of Ageless Ageing' is full of tips on how best to manage our physicality, time, mental health and relationships as we age, how to ease our adjustment to retirement and a slower pace of life, and, most importantly, how to embrace with enthusiasm the many opportunities that the latter stages of our lives offer. • 10. Holistic Grieving

    28:58||Season 1, Ep. 10
    There are 3 absolute certainties in life - birth, change and death. When we grieve we are dealing with all 3 at the same time: the death of a loved one, the huge changes that brings and the birth of their new transition to spirit. Join me to learn about how we can evolve the old ways our Ancestors had to grieve holistically so we may honour those who have passed away and gently move on with our lives with loving acceptance. In my book 'The Secrets of Ageless Ageing' I explore this topic in more detail. You can get it in the Beehive Books website. www.drkarenwardtherapist.ie@drkarenwardtherapist

  • 7. Mid Life Crisis or Mid Life Opportunity?

    21:16||Season 1, Ep. 7
    Mid-Life Crisis or Mid-Life Opportunity?When I reached 45 years of age, I noticed an odd sense of flatness. I could have called it boredom, almost a 'seen-it-all-done-it-all' vibe. I lived in a beautiful home, was married to a wonderful man and worked in the holistic profession feeling fulfilled. Now I didn't have children due to infertility but thankfully we had worked through that poignant life challenge. So what was going on?I realised that I was at mid-life. All those whispers of this inevitable phase were true. Yet I didn't have an 'empty nest' although I was entering menopause. I recognised a fork in the road. I could live a life of regrets, what ifs OR I could reinvent myself with a pep in my step.www.drkarenwardtherapist.ie@drkarenwardtherapist
