Two Thousand and Fifty Miles of Poetry

It's almost midsummer and Lee and Charlie return with a Miles of Poetry Christmas Special! They discuss what has changed in their lives since the release of the last episode almost exaclty 4 years ago in June 2020, dabble in asmr and, of course, apply their razor analysis to some poems. Charlie and Lee read and consider the poetry of Patti Smith and Michael Dickman, Charlie tells tales of seeing a Michael Dickman reading in New York last year, Lee describes the experience of being spat on by Patti Smith in 2007 and they both lament the fact that neither of things seem likely to happen again for a while.

Charlie and Lee read the poems of Tim Key and Robert Montgomery, they also extoll the virtues of reading poetry on the toilet, enjoy a poem sent in by eager listener Grant, and encourage Grant's furloughed friend Will to respond in verse - get in touch Will!

Charlie and Lee return for another week of poetic wonder, this time reading poems by Sylvia Plath and Seamus Heaney.
