Migreatives

Migreatives is a podcast from Woven Voices that showcases the experiences of first generation migrant creatives working in the UK. Hosts Nadia, Zachary and Ben talk to artists from theatre, film and television about the challenges and opportunities of breaking into the British culture scene. At a unique time of change and rebuilding, Migreatives seeks to champion the migrant and international voices of the UK’s diverse arts community.

Nadia Cavelle

Nadia is an award-winning playwright, actor, screenwriter and film director. Originally from Switzerland and France, but brought up internationally, she trained at the Drama Centre London. Her work includes the stage play SUBJECT MATER (Scotsman Fringe First Award), the short LASCIVIOUS GRACE (nominated for Best Screenwriter and Best Actor Awards at the BAFTA-qualifying Underwire Festival), and the short TALKING TRAFFIC (nominated for Best Dramatic Short at The Women’s International Film and Arts Festival in Miami Beach and the Audience Award at Les Rencontres du Court in Montpellier).

Zachary Fall

Zachary is a Franco-American actor who trained at the Drama Centre London. His screen acting credits include POLDARK, the Emmy Award-winning GENIUS: PICASSO, GUILT, VERSAILLES, CROSSING LINES, IMMORTALITY, ALLIES and REINAS. His stage credits include the US premiere of WHITE PEARL (Studio Theatre, Washington DC), TARTUFFE (Theatre Royal Haymarket) SUBJECT MATER, RICHARD III (France and Switzerland tours), KINGDOM OF EARTH (Rosemary Branch Theatre), and ANTIGONE (Barons Court Theatre). He voiced several characters on the hit video-games THE DIVISION 2 and A PLAGUE TALE: INNOCENCE.

Ben Weaver-Hincks

Ben is a producer, consultant, researcher and writer, working across theatre and digital media. His stage producing credits include SUBJECT MATER (Edinburgh Fringe & Old Red Lion), THE LOST MUSICAL WORKS OF WILLY SHAKES (Edinburgh Fringe & Above The Stag), BRUISES (Tabard Theatre), and BEAUTIFUL DAMNED (tour). Other projects include web series THE EXCHANGE, and work on podcasts including THE RESILIENCE SESSIONS and FUTURE HEIST. Ben was previously Production Executive at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, general managing productions such as VENUS IN FUR, FROZEN, QUEEN ANNE, and THE LIBERTINE.
