In this episode we speak to Adam Reed, underground ecom pet brand beast, dog lover, former university club night promoter and more recently a Forbes list participant.

We speak about how we met 5 years ago while both at University in Newcastle - how he got started and first saw success in the ecom space, building a £20m revenue business from his bedroom and how keeping his lifestyle simple and under the radar has helped keep him focused. on what matters.

He reveals how large scale outsourced team building and systems has enabled him to dominate the custom pet product space, how much money he lost in one day due to black Friday checkout problems, and where he sees his business going over the next few years as he looks to ultimately set himself up for an exit. We also dive into the challenges of loneliness and relationships as a hyper ambitious entrepreneur, being self aware about what you actually want to achieve and how the ecom landscape has evolved over the past few years.

In summary, Adam is a great example of how sustained, focused effort in private can build incredible things in a relatively short period of time. He's a textbook self-made entrepeneur with a background and story relatable to many, so I think this will have a lot of value - I hope you enjoy!
