The UFC heads to Kansas City with a card that lacks rank fights or ones with a lot of relevancy but mostly fun fights that should be a good night of viewing. So I'd call this a thumbs in the middle card.But I do say that as a guy who doesn't really care for Ian Machado Garry but also doesn't hate him, so your mileage may vary. I think I finally cracked why I dislike the Apex Cards on research:The fights aren't terrible, the fighters aren't terrible (for the most part on both) it's that the matchmaking doesn't go places. Brito vs Sabbatini is a perfect example. Both are fine fighters, have a role in the UFC but them fighting each other advances nothing. UFC London ended on a low note and wasn't especially good but sometimes thats how the cookie crumbles. 2 former champs in meaningful fights on a free card? It's almost like the good old days of UFC Fight Nights.This card does start out a bit weak, 3 of the first 5 do have some stinker potential but we'll see. UFC has once again left us with a very Apex Style card. It wasn't bad. There were only 2 fights I found disappointing and in both cases it wasn't about the entertainment value or action factor but rather just a bit of sad downgrade of performance.
