UFC 321 ends in plane crash fashion why an eye poke which has re-invigorated the "how do we stop this?" conversation with eye pokes. Spoiler, I think the answer is simply actually penalizing it. Because right now if you're a fighter and not eye gouging, what are you doing? You get 2-3 fouls for free and if the guy cannot continue well just see the credit Gane is getting right now. He won fan adoration for cheating, not saying intentionally but he eye poked and people are treating him like he won. Sure we can do things with the gloves but at the end of the day there are fighters that have open hands a lot and do not poke. So it's not the gloves, it's just carelessness.


Elsewhere, the heavyweight division looks horrid to the point where Valter Walker doing another heel hook was the division highlight. Mackenzie Dern is champion and the division is probably worse off for it. Umar Nurmagomedov is back to winning form and Aleksandar Rakić looks broken and dusted. Oh and Quillan Salkilld almost killed a dude.

    It's a rare occasion where I get to go I was just right about the card. 13-0. Didn't nail every fight dynamic because Mario Pinto didn't destroy Felipe Franco and Trocoli got the scorecards. But otherwise bang on stuff.Movsar Evloev won another fight, controversially but really feels like if he just wrestled Murphy early the controversy would just not be a thing.
