Fostering Employee Engagement and Culture Through Fun and Connection with Michael Wasick | Marketing Expedition Podcast
Born in Long Beach, California, Michael Wasick made the move to Boise, Idaho, nearly two decades ago to pursue his education at Boise State University. After graduating, he embarked on a successful real estate career, but his passion for fostering connections in the workplace led him to a new venture.
Three years ago, Michael founded Wobali, a company dedicated to enhancing employee engagement and well-being. Recognizing that many employees feel disconnected from their colleagues and undervalued by their organizations, he set out to create opportunities for teams to bond outside of work. By organizing enjoyable activities, Michael helps facilitate camaraderie and open communication among employees.
His innovative approach not only cultivates happier and healthier workplaces but also reduces turnover and boosts productivity, ultimately saving companies significant costs. With a focus on building meaningful connections, Michael is committed to transforming workplace culture for the better.
00:00 - 00:35 "We know that culture happens whether we want it to or not in companies, and so if you can do things like this to help shape the culture that your company has, that will then make happy campers, happy employees. Happy campers make happy employees. Happy employees can make happy customers.” — Rhea Allen

And people are asking questions and the AI is answering them. And so, the way to win that, the way forward is, again, it's brand. 268. B4B: A New Perspective on B2B Strategies with Leslie Galbreath | Marketing Expedition Podcast
54:55||Ep. 268Leslie Galbreath is the President and CEO of DGS Marketing Engineers, a strategic marketing communications firm that serves some of the world's most respected industrial and manufacturing brands. For more than 25 years, she's helped B2B organizations transform complex value propositions into clear, compelling messaging that drives measurable business results. Her approach combines in-depth research, market intelligence, and proven marketing strategies to help technical companies strengthen their brand influence and accelerate growth. A trusted advisor and sought-after speaker, Leslie is known for making industrial marketing practical, strategic, and impactful, particularly in the advanced manufacturing, automation, and engineering sectors. As a woman leading a successful agency in a traditionally male-dominated industry, she's also passionate about mentoring the next generation of marketing professionals pursuing careers in STEM. Leslie has spoken at leading industrial marketing conferences and is a trusted strategic partner for global B2B brands looking to elevate their marketing.00:00 - 00:40 "It's very tempting and it's very easy to allow just the loudest voices inside an organization. Sometimes that's in the sales group, sometimes it's in other areas. But if we don't take the time to do deliberate research and really apply a professional approach, then companies market to the loudest internal voice, not the actual customer. In the B2B world, in my view, mistakes are so expensive. A lack of research and a lack of a clear foundation is an expensive risk to take.” — Leslie Galbreath00:41 - 00:58 Welcome to Peppershock Media’s Marketing Expedition Podcast00:59 - 02:20 About Leslie Galbreath02:21 - 17:17 Marketing Essentials Moment: B2B Marketing Agency17:18 - 20:22 Welcome to the show, Leslie!20:23 - 23:05 Agency's full-service approach23:04 - 25:24 Brand identity development process25:25 - 28:08 Hybrid model culture28:09 - 30:20 B4B environment30:21 - 33:34 Strategic alignment in B2B33:35 - 34:11 Poderific, baby! Emotional Intelligence is the foundation of Michelle’s approach, to increase self-compassion, self-awareness, and impact.00:00 - 00:46 "I was working with a team of 13 leaders, I think it was 12 or 13, and did the emotional intelligence assessment with each of them, sat with each of them individually, and did their individual coaching, helped them orient to their opportunities, and then met with them for their first team meeting where I bring them the data and I talk about their goals. and we tidy up and everybody leaves and I'm cleaning and one of the VPs walks back in and it was so cute. He kind of leaned in like he was telling me a secret. He's like, I think I get it. And I'm like, what do you get? He goes, if I behave differently, other people do too. I'm like, tell me more. He goes, I see how I can influence the team. 266. The Power of Proof in Marketing: How Specific Testimonials Drive Conversions with Andy Janaitis | Marketing Expedition Podcast
47:00||Ep. 266Andy Janaitis is the founder and chief strategist of PPC Pitbulls, a boutique digital marketing agency that helps small businesses grow past 7 figures using Google and Meta Ads. He partners with founder-led brands and e-commerce teams to simplify their paid ad strategies, ensuring campaigns are built on solid tracking, clean execution, and profitability—not noise or guesswork. Whether he’s helping a brand understand attribution or demystifying Performance Max, Andy brings clarity, integrity, and a deep respect for the entrepreneurial journey.00:00 - 00:30 "All of these automated approaches are coming up. You very easily could do an analysis of your site and figure out where you weren't placing for certain keywords or certain queries and LLMs and get a bunch of AI-driven content written. But ultimately, we find that that's starting to get oversaturated and not really all that helpful. What's really helpful at the end of the day is answering the questions that your customers have in an authentic way.” — Andy Janaitis00:31 - 00:48 Welcome to Peppershock Media’s Marketing Expedition Podcast00:49 - 01:47 Andy’s Background01:48 - 06:50 Marketing Essentials Moment: Proof as a Marketing Asset06:51 - 10:07 Welcome to the show, Andy!10:08 - 13:22 Understanding Client Goals13:23 - 18:05 The Importance of Case Studies18:06 - 20:42 Marketing Tactics and Testing20:43 - 21:42 The Evolution of Modern Marketing Campaigns21:43 - 22:35 AI Driven Optimization22:36 - 24:32 The Power of Authenticity24:33 - 29:09 Stages of A/B Testing29:10 - 32:46 Budgeting for Marketing Campaigns32:47 - 33:23 Poderific, baby! So, what other shows are people who listen to your show also listening to? And that can tell you a lot about the tastes of your audience. Like, if you make a business show, they're listening to other business shows. Oh, but look, there's also a strong contingent of your audience that's listening to, I don't know, true crime or faith-based shows or something like that. That can give you some insight into who you're dealing with and who you're talking to. And you can use that to inform the content to make it even more relevant to them.” — Jen Moss00:43 - 00:59 Welcome to Peppershock Media’s Marketing Expedition Podcast01:00 - 02:53 Jen’s Background02:54 - 11:39 Marketing Essentials Moment: Understanding KPIs in Marketing11:40 - 13:37 Welcome to the show, Jen!13:38 - 15:56 JAR (Job Audience Result) Podcast Solutions 15:57 - 21:49 Case Studies21:50 - 24:53 Different Types of Podcasts and Their Impact24:54 - 27:03 Tools and Resources for Podcast Analytics27:04 - 29:36 Importance of Consumption Rate in Podcasts29:37 - 30:12 Poderific, baby!
