Conley v. Ballinger and Conklin v. Conklin / Augusta Chronicle are the three Supreme Court cases where women represented themselves 'pro se' / 'pro per'. Conley was a lawyer protecting her tribe's cemetery in 1910. Conklin was a writer without legal training who contested her divorce and a newspaper reporting on that divorce in 1920.
