Man Bites Pod

Audition

Ep. 4

In this episode, the Sinema Baron steps up to the podium to bring you a sermon on the artistic and horrifying genius of Takashi Miike's, Audition. A surreal and scarring slow-burn that demonstrates Miike's directing talent and his unique and at times, unfavourable view of Japanese culture. The film is dissected with 1001 acupuncture needles as we go deeper, deeper, deeper, into many possible interpretations and the films overall intent. Members of the supporting cast square off for Jobba Royale and we each reveal our favourite Bit O' Violence, plus we try to determine just what is meant by the term Arthouse Horror. Come drink from Asami's bowl cineastes and enjoy the shenanigans of Man Bites Pod.
